The Vantaa Music Institute
The Vantaa Music Institute is one of the biggest music institutes in Finland. At the Vantaa Music Institute, over 2,000 students are taught to play instruments and sing by professional teachers. The Institute offers a wide variety of studies that can act as a foundation for either a professional career or a lifelong hobby. The language of teaching is Finnish.

Vocal and Instrument Lessons
At the Vantaa Music Institute, highly qualified teachers give high-quality, basic-level music education to children and young adults.

Early Childhood Music Education
Early childhood music education is divided into two parts: music play schools (ages 0–6) and music skills education (ages 7–9). The lessons are goal- and experience-oriented.

Open Studies
You can sing up for our open studies throughout the year, regardless of your home municipality or age.

Musical Theatre
Musical theatre studies are group studies that gives each student the opportunity to study performance and social interaction skills, physical expression skills and singing.

Choirs and Vocal Ensembles

Tempo Orchestras
Tempo Orchestras offer children the opportunity to play and sing music for free during their school days regardless of their background, equally and without an auditioning process.

Vantaa Culture Kids
Every Vantaa child born in 2023 and after are invited to join Vantaa Culture Kids. Vantaa Culture Kids can participate in two events annually with an accompanying adult until the child starts school.

Tuition fees and instrument lending
Studies at the Vantaa Music Institute are subject to fees. Low-income families can apply for tuition fee discounts. For the duration of their first study year, students can loan an instrument from the music institute.

These include everything from small student concerts to symphony orchestra events at Cultural House Martinus.
