Lumme Hall

Lumme Hall is located in the Tikkurila Library Building, right next to our institute's main service location. The hall is perfectly suited for acoustic concerts and various seminars and workshops.

Capacity and equipment

Floor: 100 seats, stands: 30 seats. (The stands have fixed seats, and the floor is filled with chairs.)
Two grand pianos, projector and screen, sound system (including wired speech-microphones)

Price list

Lumme Hall can be used free of charge starting 1 August 2022, except for commercial and business purposes, private celebrations and religious activities.

Fixed fee one-event fee, 0–3 hours €250 (including 24% VAT)
Additional hours for events exceeding 3 hours: €50 (including 24% VAT) per hour
Use of the grand piano, including tuning: €145 (including 24% VAT) Practice sessions: €50 (including 24% VAT) per hour

If the space is rented for an occasion during which the janitor responsible for the music institute’s Lummetie location is not working, an additional janitor fee or €50 per hour will be added to the price. At Lummetie, the janitor’s regular working hours are Mon–Thu 3:00–9:00 p.m. and Fri 3:00–7:00 p.m.

The route to the main entrance

The 2 accessible parking spaces are located outdoors over 10 m from the entrance. The width of the parking spaces is less than 3.6 m.
The route to the entrance is rough and illuminated.
The passage has at least 4 steps with handrails on both sides.
The route has a ramp over 6 m long with an intermediate landing.

The main entrance

The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
The doors connected to the entrance are hard to perceive. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with a button.
The entrance has thresholds over 2 cm high.

In the facility

The customer service point is on the same floor as the entrance.
The doors in the customer service point stand out clearly. The glass doors have contrast markings.
The waiting room of the customer service point has no queue number system. The customers wait standing up.
The customer service point has a toilet marked as accessible on floor 1. The toilet does not have sufficient room for a wheelchair.
