The project, which will begin in early 2021, will reform the entire service concept, layout and user interface of the site. The contents will be redesigned and the site will be unified. Another important aim is to improve mobile usability.

The redesign will pay particular attention to accessibility. The site should serve all users, regardless of any limitations and digital skills. Vantaa is also the most international city in Finland, so the online service is not only in Finnish and Swedish, but also in English.

The technology chosen for the website is open-source Drupal, and the implementation partner is Wunder Finland Oy.

According to the planned schedule, the new website will be launched in early 2022, with further development in the following phases of the project from 2022 to 2023.
